Our Team

Director: Emma Lee

Despite injuring her back as a student, Emma qualified from Canterbury Christ Church as a nurse in 1990. She worked extensively in the community and in hospitals in London and the South East as a neurological rehabilitation nurse. She enjoyed working with physiotherapists gaining much experience in assisting those with movement impairment problems. While suffering her own back pain since the age of 18, she found no permanent solution. Considering the surgical route, Emma attended her first Pilates class in Australia in 1999 and it was obvious from the outset that this was exactly what she needed.

Amazed at how gentle and yet effective the exercises were, Emma enrolled as a student with Body Control Pilates and qualified as a Pilates teacher in 2002. As a member of the Body Control Pilates Association, she is required to continue to develop her knowledge and skills. In 2006, Emma qualified as an Alan Herdman trained instructor. This one-year full time in house training course certified her to teach clinical Pilates and studio equipment Pilates.

She has been teaching successful clinical classes for almost 20 years and has recently qualified as a Back4Good® practitioner. Emma now enjoys a pain free life by the sea teaching Pilates to the local community.
