6 Week Beginner Courses

If you have already been practicing Pilates please contact the studio to discuss your needs.
We have Beginners, Intermediate and Advanced Pilates classes running throughout the day and evening on Monday to Fridays.
Class size is limited to 10 participants.
These classes are for one hour and take place at the same day and time each week.
Studio sessions are open to those who have attended at least a 6 Week Beginners Mat Work Course or 4 Private Sessions. These sessions are suitable for both clinical and regular clients.
Studio Sessions use the large pieces of apparatus that Joseph Pilates invented.
The Reformer uses springs to give your muscles and soft tissues some resistance to work with. The sliding carriage allows fluid movement which can enhance your focus.
The Trapeze Table also utilises springs to add resistance to your routine which allows joints to move safely.
The Wunda Chair was originally developed by Joseph Pilates to allow people living in small New York apartments to exercise at home!
Studio Sessions are for 1.5 hours at the same day and time each week.
Private Pilates sessions are recommended for but not exclusive to those who are experiencing pain or difficulties with movement.
You may have been referred by your physical therapist or GP to join a Pilates class and we recommend that you attend at least four private sessions before joining a group mat class.
Sometimes it's necessary to book a further one or two private sessions as needed.
During these lessons we will give you a full postural assessment and will also assess your gait. Exercises specific to your needs will be prescribed to you as homework.
These sessions should be spaced at weekly intervals, giving you enough time to practice the exercises so that you can move on each week.
when you are ready we will advise you on the appropriate group class for your needs. alternatively you can choose to continue to attend private classes with your teacher.
